Suitecase for TV commentator location

ELMAN suitcase for TV commentator location is a “very little studio” that contains 10 pull-out sliding audio and video drawers.
They in a while allow to make operative the commentator location of TV transmissions, in particular in case of external shots.
It is a portable multifunction unit realized in a particular hard suitcase equipped with 4 embedded fold up legs (you don’t need a table to put it) and with an embedded trolley to make the transport easier.
The apparatuses contained in the suitcase for commentator location are:
15” full color LCD TFT Monitor/TV for the control of signals sent in low frequency by the studio.
TV section works with signals transmitted in VHF/UHF, both in analog and digital (DVB).
On sides of the screen of monitor are 2 loudspeakers for audio listening.

Modular apparatus section, starting from the left, is made up of:

• (Module 1) Video Equalizer Distributor with double distributor 1x2 and with loop through input and 2 outputs. The possible regulations for each distributor are: GAIN, HF (High Frequency) and LF (Low Frequency).
  The first distributor (VDE1) can be used both with analog (CVBS) and digital (SDI) video input. The mode can be selected by pressing SDI/CVBS key located on the frontal panel.
  The second distributor works only with analog input video signals (CVBS).

• (Module 2) Video Equalizer Distributor (like the previous module but without SDI input)

• (Module 3) Video Switcher 4x1: allows to select one of the 4 input video signals (LINEA/COAX1- TX1-TX2- analog or digital TUNER) sending it to the output connected to the input of LCD Monitor.
  Input n° 1 (LINEA/COAX1) can be both analog (CVBS) and digital (SDI). The mode can be selected by pressing SDI/CVBS key located on the frontal panel.
  Digital SDI signal must be connected on the BNC connector located on the frontal panel.

• (Module 4) Microphone Amplifier with dual equal and indipendent sections accepts microphone levels (-50 dB) and line levels (0dB).
  On the frontal panel for each section can be found: the limiter control (ON/OFF), a potentiometer (GAIN) for output audio level adjustment, available on TX1L OUT and TX1R OUT and a LINE/MIC switcher.
  The output signal available on TX1 L OUT and TX1 R OUT is sent to one of the inputs of Stereo Audio Switcher 3x1 module; the output of the switcher is sent to the Power Amplifier module. Every module can receive 2 mono channels or 1 stereo channel.

• (Module 5) Microphone Amplifier (see the previous description) 

• (Module 6) Audio RX, performs 3 functions on audio signal:

1. Amplifier with level regulator of audio signal coming from RX1R-IN and RX1L-IN; the output of this module is sent to input 3 of the switcher audio.
2. Digital/analog converter: the signal sent to RX1R-IN (AES) can be analog or digital by moving the level switcher located on the frontal panel on AES position; the two output stereo signals are taken by RX1R-OUT and RX1L-OUT.
3. Analog/digital converter: it is started up by the same level switcher described previously. In this case signals sent to TX2L-IN and TX2R-IN can be taken in analog by TXL2-OUT and TXR2-OUT or in digital by TX2L-OUT (AES).

• (Module 7) Power Amplifier At the input of this module there are output signals from the Audio Switcher Module through which are selected signals coming from Audio RX e Microphone Amplifier modules. The output signal is send to LEFT OUT and RIGHT OUT connectors and it is adjustable via GAIN LEFT and GAIN RIGHT potentiometers. Moreover the same signal can be listened on headphone on Headphone 1 and Headphone 2 outputs and each of them has its own GAIN adjustment.

• (Module 8) Stereo Audio Switcher 3X1: allows to select, through a keyboard located on the frontal panel, the following 3 sources: the two Microphone Amplifier modules (IN1 e IN2) and the Video Switcher module (IN3); a fourth audio input (TUNER) is automatically selected when is chosen the Tuner on the video switcher.

• (Module 9) Power Supplier It is a parallel power supplier with the other power supplier (module 10) that provides to the apparatus the following voltages: + 12 VDC, –12 VDC, + 5 VDC. In case one of two power suppliers is damaged, the working of the Suitcase for commentator location is granted and is not interrupted.

• (Module 10) Power Supplier It is a parallel power supplier with the other power supplier (module 9) that provides to the apparatus the following voltages: + 12 VDC, –12 VDC, + 5 VDC. In case one of two power suppliers is damaged, the working of the Suitcase for commentator location is granted and is not interrupted.
